About Me

I am a native Oregon, born in Portland and graduated from Madison High School.  I earned my Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Portland State University in 1977.  In 1981 I graduated from Willamette University in the top third of my class with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence (JD) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA).

For 37 years I have focused my practice on family law and personal injury claims and criminal defense.

I am an arbitrator in Marion County for Dissolution and Personal Injury cases that are subject to mandatory arbitration.  In the past I have served as a Pro Tem Judge in the Salem Municipal Court and as a pro-tem Judge with Marion County.

On a personal note, I have been married to Dayna, an artist and counselor, for 46 years (click here for a link to her website Alley Art Studio), and we have lived in Salem since 1977.  We have three grown children and seven grandchildren.

My life beyond working involves golfing, bowling, traveling, attending cultural events and spending time on our boat.
